I'm almost 23, moving to Pennsylvania, and about to begin my Masters work in Art Therapy. After taking a year off after graduating from Gettysburg College, I've decided I can't wait another semester... basically, I graduated a semester early to begin a semester late. I'm smart like that, you know. I'm just glad yo be on my way again, not just stalled out in Ny.

As far as personality goes, I'm a bundle of contradictions and have been described by friends as being "just like Russia." (referencing Churchill's famous quotation- Thanks, Valerie!) I'm a reenactor of WWII and the Civil War, yet I find the hobbies to be jam packed full of somewhat lovable, though odd and socially inept people. I love playing dress up, thrive on the 1940s glamor, but prefer a good pair of paint-splattered jeans and dirty sneakers. I love history, but feel that people study the wrong aspects and for the wrong reasons. My art is my major outlet, but I don't usually like my creations; I'd love to make a career of it, but think it's the least likely thing ever. I'm strongly independent, persistent and stubborn. I'm also generally optimistic, and I will speak my mind if asked for my opinion, usually with heavy sarcasm.

LJ is really just a home for my procrastination and a method of staying connected with those scattered weirdos I call friends. Stop in, read what you like, ignore what you don't. I don't really censor anything, and I will not use the friends only options. Don't bother leaving anonymous comments, as I will be forced to publically ridicule every word you write. Otherwise, if you're brave enough to leave some form of ID, I'll respect your opinions, so write freely.
